This evening my wee lad grabbed his bike and excitedly exclaimed: "I'm going to show everyone my bike!" - then rode at a great rate up the path. I loved the look as he went from the dark pergola to the evening sun's light at the front.

The original can be seen here - before I cropped and sharpened it, pulled up the luminance curve a touch, and pushed the contrast to about +10%.
