Our Pylons

We've lived in this house for 35 years. It's only when folk start talking about pylons and new designs that I actually see the two which are closest to us.

Here is the nearest pylon, photographed without zoom from the back fence. I think it merges quite well. I wonder if any of the proposed new designs would have that skeletal, almost ethereal outline against the skies and the Campsies. With wind farms gracing so many horizons, surely the last thing we need is for a pylon to have any more bulk than it needs.
