Shepherd's Lambing Hut

Today I walked with the Bury St Edmunds branch of the Ramblers, part of the walk took us through the "Ixworth Thorpe" nature trail and bird reserve.
There are three hides on the reserve and one of them is an old shepherds hut that has been converted, it fits well into the reserve and it was good to see something as old as this put to use rather than discard it. It would be great to know it's history and also meet some of the shepherds that would have used this in the past.
A great walk in good company.
