Skirting board

I'm in the process of having new flooring in the kitchen, hall and downstairs loo (finally - the kitchen was only done a year ago!). Last night when I got home from work, I took up the laminate flooring that was in the hall originally, to see what was underneath. Most of the concrete is in fairly good condition, but I want to get the skirting board sanded and painted before they fit the new flooring, so that will be my job this weekend.
