this is love... this is love...
this is my dog, squiggles. i can honestly say i love him.
most of the relationships i know of, i believe, are a matter of convenience and a mutual desire to not want to be alone. "what a wonderful caricature of intimacy". i refuse to settle for that.
you can deck out a lie in a suit but i wont buy it...
you see, my dilemma is if there is only one person out there for everyone, what are the odds they are actually in the same zip code as you? and if there is more than one person, which i truly believe, what happens when you're with someone and you get the "buyers remorse"?
"Relationships don't work the way they do on television and in the movies: Will they, won't they, and then they finally do and they're happy forever -- gimme a break. Nine out of ten of them end because they weren't right for each other to begin with, and half the ones that get married get divorced, anyway. And I'm telling you right now, through all this stuff, I have not become a cynic, I haven't. Yes, I do happen to believe that love is mainly about pushing chocolate-covered candies and, you know, in some cultures, a chicken. You can call me a sucker, I don't care, 'cause I do...believe in it. Bottom line...is the couples that are truly right for each other wade through the same crap as everybody else, but, the big difference is, they don't let it take 'em down." - Scrubs
love don't make things nice - it ruins everything. It breaks your heart. It makes things a mess. We aren't here to make things perfect. The snowflakes are perfect. The stars are perfect. Not us. Not us! We are here to ruin ourselves and to break our hearts and love the wrong people and *die*. The storybooks are *bullshit*. Now I want you to come upstairs with me and *get* in my bed!
