Lost Between Worlds

Samhain Altar

Just a small amount of rearranging and a few added additions made our family altar molre suited for Samhain(Halloween) Monday.

The lit candle, which burned until this afternoon, was lit in honor of our ancestors and those who passed on the year.

The Pagan holiday is not one all about candy like its Americanized counterpart...but many traditions do cross over, like carving gourds(including pumpkins) and dressing up.

Samhain is one of the two times a year where the veil between the living and dead is thinnest...and is also the last of the three Great Harvests.

A blessed time indeed.
