A present
This is a present from another patient to Imogen as she is being discharged today. What a thoughful gift. She also gave one to all the staff here. Apparently this has kept her quite busy since she's been in here. It's got pride of place on Imogen's cot.
So, we are all on our own, until later today when a little slovenian boy moves in next door and gets his second chance at life with his bone marrow transplant. Cant speak english so the parents are having to get a private interpreter in at £45 an hour. And the charges are the same if its a 5 min conversation or an hour.
News Flash - Imogen's blood counts have practically doubled from yesterday, so it's been quite an emotional day today already and it's only 11 am...
Thank goodness I am meeting a very good friend for lunch today. Think I shall take tissues with me though.
Sorry, no bike ride this morning, maybe later....
