I started work today half an hour late but finished half an hour early. Now I know it sounds like i'm shortchanging my employer but hey, i'd rather be doing something productive than sitting on my still-getting-fatter-bum.
So with the extra half hour I decided to explore the woods nearby, again. This time I took the direct path but I had to squeeze into the small gap in between the barb wire and the wooden gate. Good thing i've only gained about 5 kg since my knee operation so I just barely got through the gap.
The woods was lovely but I only got a 3rd way through due to my fear of snakes! Also, the mosquitoes were huge and they wouldn't leave me alone! I felt like I was being eaten alive, for real! I would have ran for my life except I couldn't run. And I forgot to take the crutch with me, :(
I headed home and decided to cook a couple of new dishes I got from Adam Liaw's book. J and D were having dinner at home and that was my way of saying thanks for looking after me when I couldn't do anything for myself. They loved it ofcourse because I made them wait a good full hour before serving and they came home straight from touch footy. I've discovered that people tend to appreciate your cooking if they're really starving. Hahaha.
So I ended up with this photo of the barb wire right on the entrance of the path going into the woods. I really am not sure if it was meant to keep out trespassers or keep in whatever is hiding in those woods. Hmmmm..... If I can drag a friend to come with me, I might go exploring that place again and hopefully come up with a better image. :)
