LETTER FROM MALTA

A letter arrived this morning from Iris - my penfriend in Malta

Iris and I have been writing to each other since 1967. I have visited Malta 4 times over the years. Once with my Mam, once with my younger brother, once with my husband Douglas and once with Douglas and our 2 children Becky and Neil.

Haven't been since about 1986 - keep saying to myself that I must pay a visit but have just not got round to it.

When ever I have visited Malta Iris, and her (extended) family, have made us very welcome.

My Dad served in Malta towards the end of the 2nd World War - he was on the " Ack Ack " guns and also served as Batman to the Colonel.
