Early Morning Walks

It is a great time of year for early morning dog walks. Pull on a warm coat & a pair of wellies and off you go. The temperature is still mild, non of the sharpness that winter brings and the autumn colours lift the spirits - even at 7am.

However, there was a low point. I saw 2 grey squirrels. Northumberland was one of the last few areas with a healthy red squirrel population. Last winter I saw them almost daily. This is a very sad day.
