Wonder if The Joker is a blipper?

This has been lent to me today by someone who described it as "a graphic novel, considered by many to be THE definitive Batman story and incidentally this is a first edition of The Killing Joke". In its plastic dust cover I took it and promised to look after the piece of literature and protect it from harm (in particular from my 3 kids).

My wife's reaction? "What've you borrowed a comic for?". She just doesn't get it!
