Catgate
The You Couldn't Make It Up files #1
Not my usual sort of subject (if I even have one) but these buildings looked attractive in the sun this morning.
I have been following with some bemusement the blow by blow accounts of an MPs wife stealing a cat from the home of his lover. Apparently she went round to drop off mail then "accidentally" lifted the cat without realising it (happens to me all the time - our house is now full of cats) and when she realised what she had done, threw it over some random fence thinking it would find its way back, having probably watched The Incredible Journey one too many times.
Then a few days ago I heard that the cat had been found and had a litter of kittens though it was not clear where the kittens were and who was looking after them. A further twist in the tale comes today as it has been discovered that it might not be the correct cat after all and just happens to be similar to the missing feline.
So, who is this masked cat? Where is the original cat? Who has the kittens from the "wrong" cat? How many journalists are being paid to cover this story? How many disasters of international importance are going to have to happen before this story is thrown out with the kitty litter? In short, why is this news??
