A conundrum

Inside a puzzle, wrapped in an enigma.

Today started badly. One of my colleagues gave me a cold so I hadn't slept well or long enough. I was advised to stay in bed.

I got up, walked the dog in the rain, showered and went to work.

Why? I felt awful!! Who gave me a big kiss? Who even said well done for struggling in? Who offered me a pay rise? No one, that's who!

You might just as well stay home if you are off it, you get no thanks. In fact you get castigated for spreading the infection.
