Congratulations!!!!!

This has been a day of days!!! Resulting in a Dr of Education in the family.

Our daughter had her viva today and succeeded / passed / not sure what it is called, but has the title.

After a stressful last week preparing for this day, it was superb to hear her excited voice sharing the news on the phone at lunchtime and all the details on Face Time tonight. We are just soooooo proud of all her hard work and achievement.

I'm exhausted, who would think that waiting for news could be so stressful.

We spent the morning at a garden centre to get some pots etc, but I think the real reason that B suggested the trip, was to get me doing something constructive rather that wandering round the house like a headless chicken annoying him!!

In the space of 3 hours I relived her first days at playgroup & primary school in Mosstodloch, Secondary school in Lincoln & Essex, Uni graduation in Bedford and then Birmingham??. And now it will be Birmingham again next summer to get the floppy hat and gown. Harry Potter beat that!!

The champagne is bought ready for our visit to see her soon.

I received the card today from said daughter. It acknowledges the significance of the whacky blips last week which we shared as a way of giving her a hug and saying we are there for her. My arms are not long enough to reach 100+ miles.

She will go back to school tomorrow to share the news with the rest of the staff and pupils.

And I will take great joy in telling everyone who wants to listen or not the good news!!!
