And his birthday treat? (apart from some cook books and cds) was a new fireplace to replace the 'tasteful' 1950s tiled original (stuff in Blipfolio) with scary gas fire that existed there before.

Only 3 days until we can burn stuff - a whole lot of healthy pyromania exists in our house :-)
