Reaching for the Sky

A perfect autumn day. A day off work too.

As I did the school run there was a gentle breeze wafting falling leaves across the road like giant golden snowflakes. A morning walk in rejuvenating ancient woodland at Foxley offered some great blip possibilities as did crocuses and witch-hazel leaves at home.

However this picture was taken just two minutes walk from home outside the local high school. A fine Ginkgo biloba framed by huge oaks which line the road. As I crouched, a little self consciously, seeking a good angle a van driver, caught in the traffic queue shouted out "It's a beautiful tree mate." It sure is!
