John Lennon's Light Tower

The other night I was looking out of my kitchen window which faces south and got the blip of Orion. When I showed one of my colleague the blip he asked why I didn't look out of the north windows as there were a very good aurora borealis that night.
So the next night I took a look and saw this: John Lennon's Light Tower.
This is what it really looks like and not like this, but I would like to try to get a picture like that. More about this here.
