Farmland in the Doe Lea valley, south of Bolsover, with some lingering autumn colour.

Heavy rain past through before dawn, and the day was mainly dull and dry except for a very heavy shower for about 20 minutes while I was out. Very mild. At last the ground around here is beginning to be replenished with water.

So glad the awful Halloween stuff is through for another year. Fireworks are rather more to my taste, but I'm always happier when things quieten down again.
