Mushrooms appearing

I was delighted to see Mushrooms establishing themselves in our front paddock. These will probably stay and not be eaten so they can spread their spore even more widely. Many years ago the field at the back of the house used to be full of mushrooms in the autumn - picking pounds and pounds at a time - but unfortunately with crop rotation this has now all changed. There are other places on the farm where they are beginning to grow again but it does take time.

This morning I met the new baby girl next door for the first time. She has been in hospital since her birth and it is wonderful for the family to have her back and thriving. Visited the surgery. N went off to Bristol and returned with nothing changed. T came in from the farm filthy - not sure what he had been doing this afternoon.
