The record player is on the way back.

Talking to Neil today in the Georges Street Market Dublin. He was working at the Trout records stand. He told me the sales of record players is going quite well. He himself is a member of the Spies band. The band have cut a vinyl record and it is on sale. He said it is the way forward, people like the sound and feel of the grooves.
