Green Hair

Today has been seriously busy, hence the very late blip.

Our senior students' last day of school for the year - their final exams start next week but the majority of them are now finished for 2011 and many of them we wont see again until 2012. This meant that tonight was our Senior prizegiving.

As the Deputy Principals at our school that also meant it was the finale of the event that Kiwilizzie and I have been putting together for weeks. We had a complete change this year by including a dinner in the programme. It was something of a risk - as introducing anything new always is. But it was entirely successful. All but 5 of our students attended, and many had family members join them for the dinner too.

The important bit of the night, presenting awards and generally celebrating student achievement and attitude, was great too.

Anway, what I'm getting to is that Kiwilizzie was incredibly brave and, to celebrate the occasion, for the first time in her life had a colour put in her hair. And not just any colour, but GREEN to match her glasses!

Well done Liz for being so brave - it looked seriously great.
