Last Rose.

I have had music going through my head constantly these days as our choir rehearses for 4 gigs. The first is tomorrow at a wedding then to Inverness Cathedral on the 3rd and 9th December and to St Stephens church on the 20th Dec.
I looked out of our bedroom window this morning and saw this solitary rose ( I hadn't even spotted the bud ) and could only think of the song "The Last Rose of Summer". It made me feel really sad :-((( Here are the words of the first verse.

'Tis the last rose of summer,Left blooming alone; All her lovely companions are faded and gone; No flow'r of her kindred, No rosebud is nighTo reflect back her blushes,Or give sigh for sigh
