Solder on
At home today as Hollow Jnr Snr is completing her 48 hour sentence for being sick. She is very much back on the mend luckily, a bug of some sort. Thank you to all the kind messages for her yesterday :)
We have Pete here today, he did our new shower room (that I never blipped!) a couple of weeks back. The radiator, door and splashback are the last few jobs before he tackles the dreaded cupboard under the stairs situation. An off the cuff comment he made on it during a tea break sparked Mrs Hollow's imagination and before I knew it (quite literally) she had asked him to come and knock it all out and rebuild it with ease of access in mind. Can't complain, it's a bloody mess due to her and the kids general use.
Pete is just fitting the new radiator to the existing pipe work, but it needs a small adjustment so got his stuff out to do it. He lit the blowtorch and my child-like eyes widened (pure caveman...fire...basic instinct) and I had to get a shot. Seems the elbow joints have a solder lining on the inside, so you cut the pipes to the lengths needed, fit them together and just give them a blast to melt the solder and seal them. I am crap at DIY stuff so knew none of this.
