No Through Route
Just messin' about on a Friday evening................
No Through Route for vehicular traffic (is the meaning of the blue and red road sign) and it might be an appropriate message when applied to mother earth. Ironic perhaps that an alternative to vehicle traffic - bicycles - the bike rack is virtually empty. Message not quite getting through yet perhaps? Or maybe it is just that Scotland's wildly erratic (and often wet and windy) weather and its road systems do not fully lend themselves to mass bike use.
Being Friday I sometimes try to link the photograph to some musical theme. Not really difficult this week...............might also apply the the economic crisis that grips the globe these days...............
"And all the roads jam up with credit
And there's nothing you can do
It's all just bits of paper
Flying away from you
Look out world take a good look
What comes down here
You must learn this lesson fast
And learn it well
This ain't no upwardly mobile freeway
Oh no, this is the road to Hell"*
