Up and Down

When you live in Rio, favelas are never far away and the one you see just up the hill here is Ladeira dos Tabajaras, which adjoins the famous Mangueria favela, which provides one of the famous samba schools, and has just this week been pacified with the drug barons being driven out by the police.
