It's never a good sign when you spend more time examining the light fitting than listening to the presentation.

At these techie conferences, almost half the audience have laptops on their knees. I used to think they were live-blogging, or taking notes - but no, its just a back-up plan so you can do some work if the presentation turns out to be dull dull dull.
