Solar PV through the Spindle Trees
The whole of yesterday was taken up with the installation which meant no walk in the woods. Everything went well and the system is up and running, although there was a distinct lack of light today. The spindle trees still have some leaves and a few of their spectacular pink fruit with orange seeds (http://www.blipfoto.com/entry/1478560). The tree belongs to a family of largely tropical vines, shrubs and small trees and in the only member in Europe (apart from Grass of Parnassus which is now placed here).
We can look for the rather insignificant greenish four petaled flowers in May.
