This is 12-009 "The Princess Royal" who recently came back from a £180,000 refit. She is about 20 years old and will be replaced in the next 3 years with the new Shannon class boat which is faster and more modern, using inboard impellers rather than the traditional props.

The crew were out with the search and rescue helicopter today doing winching exercises so I popped down briefly from my day at the theatre to take a photo. Unfortunately the helicopter was a bit late so I missed that bit.
