Kilcrohane Townland
Today was wonderfully warm and sunny and it was the weekend! Spent the morning farming ( feel a bit of a fraud when I say that, with just two donkeys, three chickens an old sheep dog and lots of trees). the small meadows on the land are bounded by stone walls and small trees like holly, hazel and mountain ash, these need protecting from the donkeys who like to eat them! So with help from my neighbour, we put up small posts and electric wire. I am redesigning the place to minimize animals, so I can take off for some mini adventures, Rachel has less than two years of school to go, then I guess she will be off to college, so a new chapter for me.
Spent the end of the day at Kilcrohane beach, the light was amazing, my blip was taken looking inland, across the lake, to the rocky ridge ( there's a wonderful walkway along the top ), I love the way the houses typical of the area are nestled into the hillside.
