red mountain, as seen from spook hill

My son & I found the marker on top of Spook Hill today - have been up quite a few times and never noticed the date on it before - 1959 - the year Mr L.O was born.

We had a torrential rain last night, it cleared all the dust that had been lingering in the atmosphere.

In the spirit of Bonfire Night, watched the very good film (I think),
V for Vendetta.
No one celebrates Guy Fawkes Night round this way, but I always remember as a child what fun it was in England. The fireworks, the sparklers, the general fun.
