The Tower of Toothpicks

Instructions:
In groups of 3 or 4, using only the provided play dough and toothpicks, build the tallest, free-standing structure possible.

The winning group's tower was about 6 toothpick lengths high. By the time the judge came around to inspect each structure, it was tilting and propped up with more toothpicks, but still standing and still the tallest. Some structures were more complex and beautiful, some were basic but sturdy.

The game followed a lesson about the Tower of Babel where God gave us all different languages because the people were getting too proud and trying to build a tower up to heaven. It was a great cross-cultural lesson and the kids seemed to have a lot of fun with the game.
