New Watch

I bought this watch on Amazon about a week ago mainly because I like the big 'face' which I can see without my glasses.
I didn't realise until it arrived that it had a date square on it, what puzzles me is that the date doesn't change until Noon...I would have expected the 'change' to be at midnight...any ideas why this is.

I have a feeling somewhere in my distant past I had another watch that did the same thing, as I didn't buy the watch for the 'date' I'm not sending it back.

Lovely sunny day here but starting to go cool now.
