A proper summer at last?

Usually, summer in my part of the UK comes on a Tuesday or Wednesday in the middle of July. We know it because it doesn't rain that day. This year seems to be looking a little brighter though. Here's hoping it continues.

It's odd what a bit of sunlight and a deep colour can do for the overall mood of a picture. Without getting into too much detail, this shot seems considerably happier than I was at the time of it's taking. It's been an odd last 10 days or so.
