A freezing cold Sunday
Today started in a rather cold manner as Bear had a 10am kick off in Lancing which meant collecting him from the house where he had been 'sleeping-over' at 8.50am and driving all the way over. It turned out that the pitch backed onto Shoreham Airport and as the wind today was a northerly we absolutely froze!
We then went back to my Mums for lunch and popped to Ferring rife for a stroll in the hope that I would be able to see some birds to blip however there were none to be seen (although plenty could be heard!) This Robin came to my rescue when I got home luckily in the tree in the garden which was lovely. I also spotted a Chiff Chaff in the Silver Birch tree that I have in the garden which I have now realised was my mis-identified Willow Warbler from a previous blip! (I have since discovered that Chiff Chaffs have dark legs and Willow Warblers have light legs - this one definitely had dark legs!) You live and learn I guess! I treid to blip him but he was just too fast and there are still a lot of leaves on the tree which provided him with plenty of cover!
