For a long time we thought that Izzy was going to be an elective mute, as she didn't babble or make sounds as a baby. However, when she did begin to speak (rather late, possibly due to her general developmental delays as a result of her having hydrocephalus), she quickly caught up. Izzy does have quite a pronounced lisp, but it is all part of her adorable little character, Mama loves our funny conversations together :)
