Motogp final
We eventually arrived at the track, what a journey, we decided to take a taxi, cost 35 euros should have taken the train. Found our VIP box, just as the 125cc final was about to start, very exciting race, we were above the pit of Paris Hilton and her rider won. She was at the track, what a 'poser', I think a days hard work would kill her. Food all day, tapas and wine, beer, soft drinks. Went for a walk but you are very restricted to were you can go, tried to get into the stand above ours but was not allowed, couldn't get into the VIP Village even though we had VIP tickets, ours were only valid for our box. We headed back and watched the Moto2 final, then the big one, the MotoGP final.
I couldn't believe how fast and noisy the bikes were, you don't get any real perspective on tv. Managed to get some fairly decent photos. As soon as the final had finished it a mass exodus.
We had decided to go back on the train, Roy had asked at the info desk where the train station was and the guy gave very good insturctions, only trouble was I don't think Roy was listening properly. We started walking in the wrong direction, after about 10 minutes I made a comment that were heading out the way we came and I didn't notice a train station. Asked again (a policeman) and retraced our steps and eventually found the station, along with a couple of hundred other people. Tickets bought, train arrives and we squash in, we had to change trains twice, unfortunately when we did our fist change we got on the wrong one andwe were heading in totally the wrong direction. Of the train, onto the other track, right train, eventually reached our destination, only to find out that out tickets weren't valid. They were only valid for the initial trip, but no one told us and several other people had the same problem, had to pay a small fine!!
Eventually got back to our hotel, picked up the case, taxi to the main station, train home. Arrived at Alicante, went to the car park, Roy handed the car park ticket over to be told it was 40 euros in parking fee, we had only been parked for a day and a half, he stormed off so I paid. Journey home in silence!!!
