Souvenir

It's odd to have been on a trip that was as memorable as mine at the weekend was and have nothing tangible to show for it apart from a slightly soggy bus ticket and a few dodgy iPhone pics.

Souvenirs are odd things, aren't they? Like JK Rowling's portkeys, they whisk us off to faraway places and times past. All the feelings rush back as we look at them, conversations are replayed in our heads, lessons remembered. No wonder many people hoard them.

I threw the bus ticket away after taking this shot. It's not that I want to forget my speedy jaunt to Geneva, but there's only so many little bits of paper a girl can keep.
