A great day for a Civil Partnership celebration. The weather was magnificent - mild, clear blue sky, bright sunshine.

A long day. A few of us met in Bewleys Hotel in Ballsbridge at 12:30 and walked from there to Sandymount Green for the religious service which got things rolling. On from there to the Sandymount Hotel for a champagne reception and a four-course meal. Speeches, post-prandial drinks and chat, then suddenly we were being politely asked to make our way to the lobby. More deep chat there, both philosophical and musical, then Carl and I shared a taxi with another guest, with us getting off in Glasthule and our companion continuing on to Shankill.

We couldn't believe that it was 4:00 am. Where did the day go?
