Grand Hotel

As I walked back to the office, I thought this view of the huge Grand Hotel probably hasn't changed since it was built in 1867. The Spa Bridge predates it by some 40 years, so it would have been a major change to the town and the view from the bridge. Shooting the scene in mono seemed both appropriate and added a Victorian feel to the photo.
Despite it being such a dull, grey, cold day, I enjoy walking around town to pic jobs whenever possible, and this walk to the Spa is a favourite.
