The day of the long shadows

Thanks for all the nice comments on my 100th blip yesterday :o)

What a clear, sunny afternoon, after a morning thick with fog.

I took this shot in the Rottenrow gardens, which I was sharing with a bunch of photography students. Their cameras were a lot bigger and more impressive than mine, so I nipped off to the co-op until they had gone, and I could take snaps with my wee effort, dignity intact...

The afternoon sun was throwing some interesting shadows and shapes from a metal railing, plus the beech hedge on top gives a nice splash of colour.
