Moon rising

This evening, the moon was rising beautifully behind this tree next to our house. I'm not sure what tree it is. It turns a vivid orange at this time of year and the leaves are a spiky grey green. It is taller than our house and loses piles of leaves in winter.
It's been a beautiful day at work. This afternoon in the preschool room we were drawing pictures of our family pets and the discussion around the table was about what pets we have, what their names are, etc. One little boy drew quietly. When he was finished, he brought his drawing to me and replied "Fish" to my question of what pet he had drawn. When I responded "Do you have fish at your house?", he said "Yes...fish to eat." Lol :)

Ha ve since found out that the tree is a Grevillea Robusta or Southern Silky Oak. It can grow to 35 metres high, yikes!
