The artist's palette

There's something rather wonderful about an artist's well-used palette. All those pans of colour squidged and worn into incredible shapes and imagine all the beautiful watercolours they must have created. This is not mine, I hasten to add, but the palette of DH, the brilliant tutor at my weekly art class. He taught us so much today, I can't wait to put brush to paper again while I can still remember what he said.

For the record: 11C max, drizzle, damp - a typical dull and rather dreary November day... and it was virtually dark by 4.30pm. Oh well, that's November for you.
