red wine and sparkles,

A day for the indoors today, slept in and then mooched about the house with Earl Grey tea in my hand, looking out into the dank and misty scenery.

Even at midday the light was so poor that it made you want to curl up in front of a real fire and drink Port, singe-ing your socks on jumping embers. I adore this time of year, poetry and long walks in the cold, jumpers and scarves, woolly gloves and the rush of warmth when you enter a GOOD pub, the smells of roast Beef and gravy filling your nostrils!

Nights out dressed for dinner, wearing a good long coat and leather gloves. rubbing your hands by the fire and elegantly attired ladies with jewellery sparkling in the candle-light. Cufflinks.....a splendid tie......a beautiful suit and good shoes, Ohh yes, I'm looking forward to it!

For tonight though....comfies and the telly, here's to Winter and flash cufflinks!!
