Skip's Blips

By Skip

Stormy sky

At my grandson's softball game tonight, the wind picked up, blowing dust across the field. The air had been heavy and hot all day with a record-breaking high temperature of 94 degrees. By game time the air was a little cooler. Then I noticed some of the players nudging each other and pointing to the sky behind home plate. I turned, looked, and that's when I got my blip for today. A few innings later, the dramatic sky turned black, thunder rolled, lightning flashed, and rain pelted the spectators. The game was over, but the storm had just begun.
