Posing

The first time I have seen a heron in the park since March 2010. And I was out with my macro lens, what a bother. However I managed to get quite close and am pleased with this shot of it posing on top of a bin.

I watched the bird for a few minutes and realised it is considering a quality residence in the leafy avenues of the Pollokshields. Off it went, collecting large twigs. Then it flew across to the other side of the park, and back again. Nest building perhaps? I hope so, it would be a treat if it became a more regular visitor.
