Haystacks

The sun was shining over Buttermere today, so we headed that way. Both pubs and both cafes were closed, but we had our flasks and a cheese roll.

It takes about two hours to walk around Buttermere...the sun shone at times and there was a strong cool breeze down the valley. We stayed dry! Chloe didn't she was in and out of the water all the time, except when she was on a lead if there were sheep about.

The blip shows Ros and Chloe with Haystacks in the background, where A.Wainwright had his ashes scattered.............." and if you, dear reader, should get a bit of grit in your boot as you are crossing Haystacks in the years to come, please treat it with respect. It might be me."

Yesterday's 'Ray of Hope' hit the Spotlight. Thanks! ( That's 6 Spotlights in the last 8 days!!! )
