Page museum rooftop
Went to see the La Brea Tar Pits and the adjoining Page Museum. They have been excavating fossils from the pits since the beginning of the 20th century and the museum was built in the mid 70s. It has not changed much since then but seems to be very well looked after. They host continued research work and you get to see that both outside and in the museum in what they call the 'fishbowl' - all the volunteers are behind glass working away on cleaning and identifying fossils. I liked their roof top with it's grid over an open space and all the plants below so that is the picture you are getting today.
