Remembering

11 am on Saturday 9 November 1940 a German Heinkel III bomber approached Wainfleet from a Southerly direction and released three bombs. One fell in a field on St Mary side of Steeping River. Another on St John Street and the third on the Bake House, High Street killing William and Elsie Cram.
