Sweet Memories...

A Henleys Traditional Sweet Shop opened at the Gyle a few months ago. Obviously sugary boiled sweeties did not meet the dietary requirements and so I'd never been in before tonight. A "just leaving" chat with Mr. D tonight somehow moved on to childhood sweetie's and one thing lead to another and the idea of blipping some happy memories came to pass.

Tonight's classic selection is Cola Cubes, Pineapple Chunks, Fruit Sherbets and Soor Plooms. Pear Drops would have made the list too, but the ones I saw were all half red and half yellow. I remember individual red and yellow sweeties. Cola cubes were my favourite so one got the selective colouring treatment!

Happy Days! N.B. sweeties were bought for blip; diet still restricts their use for enjoyment purposes. Hahahahaha. I will have 1 of each to complete the memory trip, but the rest go into work tomorrow to spread the joy!

Things that made me happy

I got a free cola cube from the nice lady at Henleys tonight!

I finally started my Christmas shopping tonight (yeahhh). In the other bag. Another childhood memory for three of the little people in my life. Blip monitored so no details possible... ;- )

Things that made me sad

I woke up to the radio news this morning to learn that in a survey of children, 95% believed that the Tudors were a brand of crisps and that the Battle of Britain was a reality tv show!

Things that made me smile

The idea that a tv executive heard the radio news this morning and is now working on the concept for a new reality tv show called "Battle of Britain"!

Things that made me mad

I've been asked to "prove" that I have the right to work in the UK! Erm... yeah, I'm British! What a farce!

Happy Thursday everyone, when it comes!
