Genuine Old Grandfather Clock
I couldn't resist blipping this beautiful old grandfather clock. It really is amazing and is now working fine - I don't own it!!!! Wish I did but I don't know where I'd put it in my house.
It dates to the 1700 - 1800s and is about 8 feet tall.
Many people think they own a grandfather clock but they actually have grandmother clocks. Grandmother clocks aren't as tall.
The expert told me.
I always thought my grandparent's had a grandfather clock but have since learnt it would have been a grandmother clock as it would have only been between 5ft and 6 ft tall. I can't really remember its height because as a child one always sees things bigger than they really are.
I wonder what happened to my grandparent's clock!!!
I must ask my cousins.
Sorry I couldn't blip the whole clock but just couldn't get back any further - there was a wall behind me!!!
